The FIM Supercross World Championship


In December 2021, the world Governing Body for motorcycle sport, Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), awarded SX Global the exclusive organisational and commercial rights to stage and promote the new Supercross World Championship commencing in 2022.
SX Global underscored by Mubadala Capital’s investment partnership will elevate supercross offering unprecedented financial support to teams and riders of more than 50 million dollars over 5 years, and with the richest prize purses in the sports history.

Promoted the 2019 AUS-X Open Melbourne event within a packed Marvel Stadium – 34,791 attendees – the largest Supercross and action sports event ever held in the Southern Hemisphere, and the largest single day Supercross event outside of the USA.

SOLD OUT EVENTS
Promoted five years of consecutive sold out AUS-X Open events in Sydney 2015-2018 and Melbourne in 2019, whilst expanding events into Auckland, New Zealand in 2018 and 2019.

Achieved global broadcast distribution to over 382 million homes for 2015-2019 AUS-X Open and 2018-2019 S-X Open Auckland events, including North America, South America, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and throughout all of Asia.

Created and launched the first AUS-X Open international Supercross event in Sydney in 2015 and sold out within 10 days.

Developed a unique event formula with an industry leading combination of elite sport and high-powered entertainment.

Held international rider, management and team agreements, as well as excellent relationships with world champion athletes and teams.


SX Global is a collective of world class masterminds who operate globally within the motorsport and entertainment industry. Underpinned by the partnership with Mubadala Capital, the SX Global team has recently unveiled their World Supercross plans.
The FIM Supercross World Championship will feature an independent team-ownership model, unprecedented financial support for teams and riders, expanded opportunities for global and local sponsors and innovations to elevate the broadcast and fan experience.
The Championship will feature a highly exclusive structure, with only 10 team licenses available offering more than USD $ 50 million of support to teams and riders over five years. The FIM Supercross World Championship will also feature the richest prize purses in the sport’s history, with a total of $250,000 up for grabs at each event.
